Usage & content notices

Updated: October 11, 2026. App: Workplace Korean: Learn Korean (한국일터), com.minororbit.workplacekorean. Contact: davidleepub@gmail.com.

Purpose and limits

This independent app helps adult learners practise Korean used in workplace and everyday situations in Korea. Lessons, translations, quizzes and optional Hangul basics are educational examples, not a complete curriculum, certified proficiency assessment or live translation service. Expressions depend on role, relationship, formality and context.

The app is not legal, medical, immigration or employment advice, professional safety training or an emergency service. Safety-related lessons teach language; they do not authorize work or certify safe procedures. Follow workplace training, site rules and qualified supervisors’ instructions. In an emergency, use appropriate emergency services rather than relying on the app.

Speech and progress

Lesson audio uses installed Android text-to-speech. Quality and network requirements vary by engine and voice. Romanization, if shown, is a reading aid and cannot represent every Korean sound change. Optional recordings let you compare your own voice; they are not automatically scored.

Completion counts, learning days and badges record activity, not proven fluency or qualifications. The introduction badge records opening a share sheet, not actual message delivery. The fictional bear’s messages are preset tips, not personalized AI advice or an employer’s instructions.

Ads and additional lessons

Banner ads and optional rewarded ads require advertising-service availability. Earned rewards can pause banners for two hours or unlock the offered additional lesson pack locally. These are not subscriptions or paid account entitlements. Clearing storage can remove rewards; operating-system backup/restore may affect later restoration.

Illustrations, identity and external resources

The app uses developer-prepared examples, fictional characters and AI-generated illustrations, including its work-bag/Korean/taegeuk icon. AI generation does not establish that every possible third-party right has been legally cleared. This app is not a Korean government, employer or educational-institution service and does not claim their endorsement. The Korean-associated colors and symbol do not imply official status.

The Online King Sejong Institute is an optional external learning resource. Its registration, available languages, courses, fees if any and terms are determined by its provider. The link does not imply affiliation or permission to reproduce its course materials.

Third-party software and names remain associated with their owners. These notices are not a replacement for required open-source license notices. Report errors or suspected rights issues with the relevant screen or expression. Updates may revise learning examples and features.
